Panama City & Florida Panhandle Duck Hunting
Some of the most abundant species are Redheads, Buffleheads Scaup and Canvasbacks. Some of the other species that you may encounter are Teal, Mottle ducks, Gadwal, Oldsquaw, Scoters, Snow geese and Ross geese. At Back Bay Adventures we offer several types of hunts, you can choose to hunt from a 18 ft G-III with a fully Grassed Avery boat blind (up to 3 hunters), layout boats, or from several shore blinds. In September, we also offer guided hunts during Florida's special early Wood
duck and Teal season, and Capt. Todd is an award winning decoy carver, so you will be gunning over some of his hand carved decoys as well as over 150 Herters Bluebill, Redhead, and Canvasback decoys. Capt. Todd is part of the Engel Outdoors Pro Staff and will be featured on the Outdoor channel in the summer of 2006. He has also been featured in several regional as well as national magazines such as Florida Game and Fish magazine, Wildfowl, Retriever Journal and South Mississippi Outdoors. What to Bring for Duck Hunts
You will need a local hunting license and duck stamp. Bring along your federal duck stamp as well. A reliable 12 gauge, in 3 or 3½ in. chambers with modified chokes. Shotguns must be plugged to hold no more than 3 shells. All ammo must be non-toxic in either #1, #2 or BB's. - we recommend 3 boxes per day of hunting.
